Can you relate to these before and after stories?

"Before" story #1

If you live in a cluttered and messy environment, you might feel constantly distracted, jumping from one out-of-place visual cue to another. 

It can make you grumpy, and tiredness sweeps over you when you walk into a room full of clutter. 

You might put your life on hold, always feeling obligated to "clean" instead of doing the things you want to do.

 

 

“After" story #1: 

In a clear and calm home, you have a much better chance of being able to focus on the task at hand. 

You no longer withdraw socially. The people in your life are welcome in your home anytime!

You can find things quickly, and you have more energy.

You have a greater sense of self-respect, and other people are more comfortable in the space you've created.

You feel much happier in your home!

 

"Before" story #2

You may be at the mercy of the moment when it comes to focusing. 

You might only be able to focus if there is a hard external deadline looming.

Or, can only focus if the task at hand is naturally quite interesting to you. 

Alternatively, you might find yourself hyperfocusing to your detriment. When you finally come out of it, you are totally drained of energy for anything else. 

"After" Story #2

You no longer need  to depend on fickle “willpower” to focus. 

You can cultivate conditions in which it is much easier for you to focus on the right things at the right time. 

When you need to focus, it is easy to communicate that to others.

You have a window of time for focused work each day, making it much easier to face things that aren't naturally appealing

You have a simple, useable system in place that intervenes with hyperfocus before it gets out of hand.

"Before" Story #3:

You can’t start a bedtime routine early enough to get to sleep by a decent time. 

You keep doing “just one more thing,” as it gets later and later.

Before-bedtime necessities like showering and brushing your teeth are terribly boring and you often have no motivation to begin. 

You fall asleep in a haphazard way–on the couch watching TV, while putting your kid to sleep, etc. and you're up in the night because you never really “went to bed”

The end of the day seems to be the only time you seem to get for yourself, and you stay up just for that.  

 

"After" Story #3: 

You have a clear bedtime that makes sense for you and isn’t the result of other people’s opinions. 

You aren’t forcibly trying to alter your body clock, but do enjoy moving things to a better bedtime timeframe at a pace that works for you. 

You’ve found the personal motivation you need to carry you through the bedtime to-dos and and get enough sleep. 

You have a smooth, repeatable bedtime and pre-bedtime routine, with a reward that makes this part of the day special and soothing. 

You wake up in the morning, on time, refreshed and ready for the new day!
