'New to ADHD' Coaching Consult

For adults who have recently been diagnosed with ADHD and are impatient to move to the next phase of their life!

Have you recently been diagnosed with ADHD?

Did you have a ‘eureka’ moment when you heard the news?

Then did your mood dip as you wondered, ‘now what?’

Getting an official ADHD diagnosis is great because now you know why you are the way you are. However, it also opens up a whole new series of questions, emotions and confusions.

Are You...

  • Struggling to come to terms with the diagnosis?
  • Replaying the events in your life so far, through a new lens now that you know you have ADHD?
  • Concerned there is a stigma around ADHD?
  • Wondering which people in your life you should tell?
  • Feeling annoyed that you didn’t find out sooner?
  • Upset because loved ones don’t ‘believe in’ ADHD?
  • Trying to figure out what changes to make in your life to help your ADHD symptoms?
  • Figuring out which natural treatment options would be best for you to try first?
  • Second guessing the diagnosis… perhaps the doctor made a mistake?

To a usually proactive positive person, having all these unanswered questions can feel unsettling. Plus, it is hard to move forward and create a plan when you are feeling uncertain and second guessing yourself.

"If I had only seen Jacqui 15 years earlier I would be 15 times more ahead in life! Jacqui has helped me with my ADHD issues and fears. She has done more for me than a multitude of expensive Psychiatrists, Psychoanalysts and Psychologists all have done combine over the last 15 years. I am currently based out of Melbourne, Australia and Jacqui out of Montreal Canada. All our coaching appointment have been Skype appointments. "

Hi, I am Jacqueline Sinfield. For the last 14 years I have been an ADHD coach helping people just like you!

Many people find me when they are in the early stages of their ADHD journey. They have recently been diagnosed with ADHD and feel like their world has been turned upside down.

It can be a very confusing and isolating time, especially if you are the only person you know who has ADHD. Plus, it can be hard to find knowledgeable experts locally.

When someone books a New-to-ADHD coaching consult with me, my role is to help them make sense of their new diagnosis. We do that by combining my knowledge of ADHD with your personal history and life experiences.

And because coaching is proactive, we also address what changes you can make in your life now, so that things can be different moving forward.

I don’t have ADHD myself.

However, the combination of my formal education (nurse, psychology degree, coach), my personal experience of living with an undiagnosed condition into adulthood (severe dyslexia), plus many years of helping people with ADHD means I have a deep understanding of ADHD and what is most helpful for you to know in this early stage.

It is different for everyone, because how ADHD shows up in your life is unique to you.

It is possible to navigate the ‘new to ADHD’ stage on your own. However, it can be overwhelming, confusing and time consuming. There is a lot of information and it’s hard to know what is relevant to you. This is true whenever you are learning about a new topic. But when you are learning about ADHD, there are other components to take into account too, such as your emotions and how the people in your life feel about ADHD. That is why it’s helpful to talk to a real person who ‘gets it.’

Here are some of the areas the ‘New-to-ADHD Coaching Consult’ can help with

We can’t solve all your problems in one hour, but we can clear up the confusion and create a solid action plan for the next 3 months so you know exactly what your next steps are.

  • Which people in your life to tell about your diagnosis (you can always tell more in the future);
  • The best strategy to handle loved ones who think you will use ADHD as an ‘excuse’ or who ‘don’t believe in’ ADHD;
  • What the best informal accommodations would be for you to request at work;
  • Identify what the 5 best and easiest natural ways to help treat and manage your ADHD would be;
  • How to include this new piece of information (ADHD) into your identity and how you see yourself;
  • What to do if you find yourself wondering, ‘Does this mean my life is going to be like this forever?’
  • The reasons why you might only recently have discovered you have ADHD (this is different for everyone);
  • How to process feelings of frustration that you didn’t know sooner;
  • What to do if you are second guessing your diagnosis;
  • How to feel comfortable having ADHD, rather than embarrassed or ashamed.

"Jacqueline is the ONLY professional who has ever been able to make a difference. After years of frustration, near misses and unfulfilled dreams, Jacqueline managed to tap into what makes me tick and utilize my strengths.” "

"My life is life is night and day different after working with Jacqueline. She definitely has the goods and is an expert on ADHD. However, her real gift has been in seeing me as a capable and competent person. She quietly operated from that belief working it into the fabric of our coaching sessions. Now I believe it too. That goes way beyond any strategy I could ask for. I live in the US and Jacqueline is in Canada. Yay internet!"
