(Without ever buying another productivity book.)
On the surface Dan looks like he has a good life. He is funny and smart and has a job he likes.
Behind the scenes Dan feels overwhelmed with the number of tasks and projects in front of him. He manages to meet work deadlines by pulling all-nighters, but as he gets older, that feels harder and harder.
Dan feels envious of his work colleagues. Their lives look perfect. They get promotions, have tidy desks and after work they go to the gym and do things like ‘finish the basement.’ They make getting things done seem effortless.
Dan’s wife would be thrilled if he did a project around their home. He hates to disappoint her. It’s just that traditional things like ‘Goals’ and ‘To Do Lists’ don’t work for him. In fact, it’s got to the stage where he feels a sense of dread just thinking about those words.
Occasionally Dan gets a flash of inspiration and starts an ambitious project. For two or three weeks he thinks, ‘This is it! I can do this!’
But then the motivation fades and he can’t seem to follow through. His home and garage are graveyards of half-finished tasks.
He is so tired of the disappointments – and worse, of not being able to trust himself.

Wish you could organize your ideas and do something with them?
Find all your ideas occupy the same priority in your head (they all seem important so you don’t know where to start)?
Wish you knew how to make realistic plans?
Find it hard to set reasonable expectations for yourself so you can follow through?
Struggle to jumpstart yourself, so you can complete projects with time to spare?
Wish you knew how to deal with large tasks?
Aspire to getting things done even when you don’t feel like doing them?
Wait for the urgency to kick in as a deadline approaches and then work nights and weekends to finish a project?
Wish you could do things consistently?
Dream of feeling motivated and being persistent?
Find planning ahead for fun personal events like birthdays and celebrations a challenge?
In the last 14 years of being an ADHD coach, I have heard many stories like Dan’s. That’s because classic ADHD symptoms make planning, prioritizing, feeling motivated and following through challenging.
That’s annoying, because those are the exact steps that help you to finish a project.
Traditional productivity books and strategies don’t work when you have ADHD. Well, they might seem to work for a few weeks while you are feeling extra motivated but then their effectiveness fades away.
That is why I created ‘It’s a Wrap.’
‘It's a Wrap’ is my coaching process, where we take you from feeling overwhelmed with the number of ideas and projects you have, to prioritizing and finishing them!
It’s a Wrap’ is a step by step process designed specifically for you and your ADHD brain. It guides you through everything you need to do to start and finish a project.
The best thing is, it’s repeatable.
You can use it again and again.
Which feels empowering.
